Lavender Festival June 9, 2018

The 8th annual Roswell Lavender Festival, inspired by Barrington Hall's own lavender queen, Evelyn Simpson, a descendant of Barrington King is Saturday, June 9 from 10AM to 5PM on the grounds of Barrington Hall. 

The festival is a celebration of all things lavender and highlights the many varieties, uses, and folk remedies associated with this ancient plant. The festival activities include shopping, eating, lavender and plant demonstrations, live music, children's activities, crafts, yoga & meditation, and a return to the Enchanted Fairy Hollow to craft your own fairy house. 

Visitor parking is not available on site, but is free at the Roswell Presbyterian Church on Mimosa Blvd. or Roswell City Hall. Complimentary trolleys are available to and from the festival grounds. There is limited handicapped parking available at the festival. 

Children's activities include storytelling with the Lavender Fairy, Music with Mr. Tony and crafts. The Enchanted Fairy Hollow will be a continuous activity, where guests can build a fairy house with materials supplied complimentary at the festival. Local music will be  performed by Sweet Sweet (10AM), Davin McCoy (12:30PM) and Michael Zaib (3PM).

A variety of food trucks and local restaurants (with lavender food samples) will be pleasing palettes: Jamaica Flavors, The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill, Chillybean Coffee Co., Paula’s Zzerts, Marrakech Express, King of Pops and Gate City Brewing (custom brewed lavender beer). 

Additionally there will be over 75 vendors offering a variety of different items – everything from bath and body products, jewelry, home and garden décor, plants, clothing, antiques, art, specialty foods and more. Barrington Hall is owned and operated by the City of Roswell and located at 535 Barrington Drive.
