WHEN THE WEATHER WARMS and the dogwoods bloom, it’s time for the city of Roswell to show off a little bit. Like when any of us are dressing up for a grand Gala, a wedding at Primrose Cottage or even the Centennial High School prom, the city of Roswell knows she’s looking her best this time of year. So why not flaunt it a little?
The Annual Roswell Azalea Festival is a community-wide event celebrating the beauty of springtime in Roswell, which gears up quietly in March but officially takes place April 1 - 30. Various activites and special events will be happening in numerous locations around town persuading us to enjoy Roswell at her best.
March 31 | ABBEY OF THE HOLY GOATS ANNIVERSARY PARTY at 4000 Northfield Way from 2PM - 10PM.
This locally owned brewery will launch a special Azalea Saison beer to be served throughout the month of April in honor of this year’s Azalea Festival. Live music and food trucks. www.abbeyoftheholygoats.com

AZALEA SCAVENGER HUNT at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Rd, M-Sat 10AM - 5PM, Sun 12 - 5PM • Guests can hunt for several species of azaleas around the property that will be marked. SMITH PLANTATION AZALEA STROLL at 935 Alpharetta St, will take place the whole month from 1PM - 3PM Mon-Sat, and 1PM - 3PM on Sundays. FREE!
Each year the Roswell Garden Club plants new azaleas on the grounds. All azaleas will be identified for visitors to enjoy. DRESSING UP CANTON ST WITH AZALEAS
To Celebrate the Roswell Azalea Festival, the Roswell Womans Club will donate dwarf azalea plants to the Historic Roswell Beautification Project. www.roswellwomansclub.org; www.hrbproject.org
April 7 | AZALEA FESTIVAL GALA presented by The Cottage School, the gala will be held at Founders Hall, 1076 Canton St. Tickets are $100 pp - the evening’s honoree is the Roswell Historical Society. A performance by the Briefcase Brigade, catering by Talk of the Town, and dancing to Fly Betty Band.
AZALEA PLANTING PARTY at Brookdale, FREE!
75 Magnolia St. Roswell Kiwanis will team up with Brookdale residents to plant azaleas in their raised flower beds. APRIL 12 | AZALEA FESTIVAL INVITATION ART EXHIBITION
RECEPTION - “Meet the Artists,” at Synovus Bank in its Roswell Branch Atrium, 10446 Alpharetta Highway, from 6PM - 8PM - FREE! Purchase and enjoy original works from acclaimed ArtAround Roswell sculptors and by several local artists including Joan Hilliard.
